here at moving mom, we are always looking for kid-friendly events and activities in the bay area to keep our little ones entertained. Moving moms Jessica and Peri checked out the Bay Area Discovery Museum just over the Golden Gate Bridge in Sausalito with their little ones and had a blast.

  • where: Bay Area Discovery Museum, Fort Baker - located at the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge

  • Good for: Everyone! This is a great day out for the family with play areas designed for babies and toddlers to older kids.

  • what to expect: lots of outdoor, interactive activities like life-size building blocks, mud kitchen messy play areas, nature exploration and musical instruments.

  • perfect for: a sunny day in the bay (a lot of the activities are outside).

  • admission: $13.95 babies 6-11 months, $15.95 child 1-17, $15.95 adults 18-64, $13.95 seniors 65+. Membership options are available.

  • Hours: Closed on Mondays, Tues-Fri 9-4pm, Sat 10-5pm and Sun 9-5pm

  • mama tip: This is a great place to have a mom date, and you are a stone throw from Cavallo Point where you can head for a quick bite or cheeky glass of vino after the museum!
